Tic Tac Toe, Three in a Row: #tttc028

I am still very much in Christmas card mode but decided to play with a little non-traditional color today.  I love how our new Berry Burst In-color makes this card modern yet still classic!

For this card I drew inspiration from both the middle row and middle column.  Which three in a row will you choose for your project?  Grab your creative cap, whatever supplies you have on hand and come play with me at TTTC!

Our challenge this week is brought to you by Clair Broadwater.  This board is perfect for those of you needing a little extra push to finish up those Holiday cards!  I’m really excited about the non-traditional color possibilities and how you will use them.  Looking forward to seeing you over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

Tic Tac Toe, Three in a Row: #tttc026

I was immediately drawn to the top row across; pumpkin, beverage and chevron.  Yes, I’m on the Pumpkin Spice Late wagon and can’t wait for them to come out every year!

Plenty of opportunities for fall/winter beverages or autumn arrangements with this board by Shannon Fralish.  All of these elements make me think of a country farmer’s market during the Holidays!

What do YOU see in this new challenge?  Come share it with us at Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

Tic Tac Toe, Three in a Row: #tttc022

I picked two rows for this week’s card; top row and middle column.  After all, this board was my design so let’s get a bit fancy!

Welcome to another great week playing along with Tic Tac Toe Challenge featuring a board by yours truly.  (Don’t tell, but these boards are made in advance and I completely forgot this week was mine!)  I hope you will have as much fun designing with this board as I did!

The Fun thing about Faux Foil Feathers

I can’t remeber where I first heard about this idea, but the technique is simple (and cheap) to get faux metal ebellishments.  The feather in my card is made from……wait for it…… dryer vent tape!  This tape – available at just about any hardware store – is a thin aluminum that is sticky on one side.  This makes it perfect to stick down on scrap cardstock for die cutting later.  Use as is for a bright, shiny look or go over a whole section with alcohol inks for a faux metal patina look!

CPC: Fall Table Decor Bonus Project

We have reached the end of October. For those of you who aren’t quite ready for the month to end yet, I have one last bonus project from Craft Project Central.  This project was created by  Monika Davis and you are sure to fall for it.

Are you ready for the Fall season? No matter where you live, with this project you can bring some Fall (or Thanksgiving) feel into your home. Dress up your table with pretty paper leaves. Make a paper pumpkin, a slip-on silverware cozy/name holder, a greeting card… and decorate a candle. This is the perfect project for the season with the gorgeous colors.

If you are interested in this bonus project, make sure your subscription qualifies!  Details are at Craft Project Central.

Thanks for sharing the creative journey with me this month – what a great group of designers and inspiring projects!

Pigs can fly!  At least they can in this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  Our board has plently of options for cute and creative cards!  This piece is actually a decor item for a customer of mine who loved the flying piggy (who doesn’t) but wanted the sentiment modified for a baby boy’s nursery.  This tic tac toe board was a perfect fit!

I also used my Hand Lettered stamp set for the first time to really make the “he did” stand out.  If you don’t have this set and like to custom create sentiments  – get it!  The stamps really do line up and connect to look like handwirting.

For this card I drew inspiration from the top row; perfect for everything fall!  I am in love with the Painted Harvest Suite and very excited to have yet another excuse to play with it1
