Tic Tac Toe, three in a row: #tttc010

Right away the top row of elements – metallic, emboss and insect – called out to me.  I am still in love with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating dies that came out in the last Occasions catalog.

Click here for another post featuring this set and the design progression from simple to spectacular that led me to this card.

We have hit the double digets!  Ten challenges down and this board is superb!  Thank you to Nicole Watt over at Pixle Maven’s Retreat for this great challenge.

How cute are these Quirky Critter stamps?   There are four adrorable animals total; each with their own cute punny greeting.  These images are great for coloring and inspire play!  I had a lot of fun using brighter colors and mixing patterns and textures

I picked two  rows for this card; left column down and left diagonal. We are sooooo close to hitting 40 entries.  What are you waiting for? Grab your creative cap, whatever supplies you have on hand and come play with me at TTTC!

Tic Tac GO!  It’s game on for team “O”.  This week’s board was designed by Susan Itell over at Simple Stampin.  This is a great board with so many awesome combos!

Fuzzy!  I LOVE anything fuzzy and this week I was able to incorporate one of my favorite things into my card design.  I choose the diagonal right down as my inspiration.

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge with my team “O” taking the lead this week.  The board for this challenge was made by Shannon Fralish over at Paper Made Bakery.

For this card I drew inspiration from the right column down.  I used Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide as my In-Colors.  I am not a pink / purple girl and was therefore not as excited about Berry Burst when it first cam out.  However, after playing with it a bit, this new In-Color has wiggled its way into my heart!

The sentiment comes from the  Floral Statements stamp set.  There are two large stamps with gorgeous open floral designs in Floral Statements – perfect for coloring any way you like!

Team “O” is up to bat again this week and that means the card on the left will be featured on the tictactoechallenge blog this week.  Come be inspired by another amazing board.  We had 31 players last week….can we try for 40 for our 4th challenge?  If that is going to happen, we need YOU!  Submissions have been extended  until NOON CST on Tuesday….an extra day!

Tic Tac Toe, Three in a Row: #tttc003

For this card I drew inspiration from the left column down.  Bule and yellow are not a go to color combo for me.  And ONE LAYER?!  Yikes!  I know some of you can rock the single layer, but I struggle to create the illusion of depth without it really being there.  (Lord help me, Beyonce just popped up in my head.  “All the single layers!  All the single layers…” someone please tell me they got the joke)

Ahem. *cough*  Right, where was I? Oh yes….

I’m on team “O” so my design project will not be featured this week but I’m playing along anyways!  For this weeks’ challenge, I truly embraced the “challenge” aspect of our weekly creative inspiration.  I intentionally choose three elements that are NOT in my usual bag of tricks.  I learned an important lesson with this little exercise:  inspiration can be found outside my comfort box.  Easily, in fact.  I think this card took me less time to design and make than most of my creations!  I KNOW, right?  smile

Here is this weeks challenge board:
